Certificates - Introduction

A Certificate is defined within SkillsPlus as any type of record of achievement, accomplishment, attendance or completion - or similar credential - that can be obtained by and assigned to Persons housed within the system. The Certificate component of the SkillsPlus system allows approved users to both create and define the contents of such certificates (including certificate name, description, length of validity, etc.), and to assign/remove these certificates to the records of any Persons (instructors, students, etc.). The component also allows users to associate certificates to specific reports registered within their implementation of SkillsPlus.

Note: While Certificates can only be added to SkillsPlus (created and defined) via the Certificate component, they can be also be assigned to persons via the Persons component.
