The concept, and use, of Classes (and Courses) within the SkillsPlus system can vary based on the specific needs of a given implementation/organization. While Course are, in general, most commonly defined as training sessions, delivered over a pre-defined length of time, and focused on a specific topic area. Classes are most commonly defined as a specific instance of a Course - delivered at a specific point in time and to a specific audience of students.
The Class component in SkillsPlus allows users to add, delete, and manipulate data related to Classes, including but not limited to assigning instructors and students to Classes.
It should be noted that some implementations of SkillsPlus do not use the Course component.
