While it is recommended that the Administrative Data component be used to import course data files (including lists of instructors)from any existing administrative software package, the Courses component of SkillsPlus can also be used to assign instructors to courses. It should be noted that assigning instructors to courses via the Administrative Data component allows users to share information from your administration system and increases the level of synchronization between the system and your implementation of SkillsPlus.
After successfully performing a "Course Search," within the Courses component, you will be presented with a list of one or more courses. By selecting the "Edit" button next to the course you wish to work with, you will be brought to the "Course" sub-tab page. From the "Course" sub-tab page select the "Instructors" sub-tab page.
To assign an instructor to a course, click the "Add Instructors" button. This will open a separate "Select Person" window where you can search from all persons housed within your implementation of SkillsPlus. After performing the search you will be presented with a list of your results. Simply select the person(s) you wish to assign (as instructors) to the course and click on the "Select" button. You will automatically be brought back to the Course "Instructors" sub-tab page.
