The Skills - Tab Format component provides users with a simple means of importing lists of skill Areas (and their related items) into the SkillsPlus system. The tool also allows users to designate to which instance and revision of a skill list, the list of skill Areas should be assigned. While lists of skill Areas and their components can always be entered into the system through the Skill Lists module, the Skills - Tab Format component allows for the import of one or more skill Area lists simply by formatting the list(s) in a basic tab-delimited structure. Users will find this component most useful when the need arises to add new skill Area lists to the system, or when a large number of edits to an existing skill Area list make it more practical to import a new version of the list rather than make numerous editing changes within the Skill Lists module.
